Application Process

Membership opportunities for the University community and beyond

We are so glad that you have decided to apply for membership at the University Club! We look forward to receiving the following from you in order to start this process:

  1. Completed Membership Application
  2. Payment of $25 Non-Refundable Application Fee
  3. Payment of Entrance Fee (See Categories Below)
  4. Supporting Documents (See Categories Below)

Your application materials can be sent to Membership Coordinator, Kelsey Terrell, at [email protected], mailed to us at P.O. Box 33067, Raleigh, NC 27636 or dropped off at the Club! Once all of your materials are received, your application will be submitted for approval.


Membership Categories

To determine your entrance fee and the documentation required, you will need to decide which of our membership categories best fits your family based on your relationship with NC State University:


Friends of the University Club

This category was built for applicants that, despite not having a direct relationship to NC State University, appreciate our NC State connection and value the amenities and culture of the University Club community. Applicants must demonstrate a compelling commitment and continued support to NC State University and/or the NC State University Club. 

Please note that this category is limited to 20% of our total membership. Please contact us at [email protected] or by using the submission here to inquire about current availability.

Entrance Fee: $9,000



Supporting Documents: Applicants require at least THREE letters of recommendation from current members. Applicants will also submit their own letter to the Board of Directors introducing themselves and providing the following: evidence of dedication to the University through activities sponsored by the University or University Club, evidence of commitment, interest or pledge to the University or University Club, or evidence of your fit to the University Club culture. 


NC State University Membership Categories

The application process and entrance fees for those within the NC State University community differ to continue to honor our relationship and roots within NC State. Please review the categories below to determine if you fall into any of the University-affiliated membership categories:

  • Faculty/Staff of NC State University
    • Our Faculty/Staff category includes full-time faculty, part-time faculty, retired faculty, visiting faculty, adjunct faculty, and staff to include professional staff of Research Triangle Institute.

      Entrance Fee: $600


       
      Supporting Documents: Please include documentation of employment at NCSU. This is typically done with a paystub or a letter from your employer.

  • Alumni of NC State University
    • Our Alumni category includes those who received a degree from NC State University or those who completed at least 9 credit hours at NC State University.

      Entrance Fee: $4,000  



      Supporting Documents: Please include documentation of alum status such as a photo of your diploma or a transcript from NCSU.

  • Centennial Campus Partners
    • Our Centennial Campus Partners category is for all employees of Centennial Campus Corporate Partner businesses located on Centennial Campus of North Carolina State University.

      Entrance Fee: $4,000



      Supporting Documents: Please include documentation of your employment. This is typically done with a paystub or a letter from your employer.
